Will an unlocked sidekick work for verizon?

I want to get a t-mobile sidekick, either 1, 2, 3, or the new ID. But I don%26#39;t want to get T-mobile... I want to stay with Verizon, because they have, literally, the best coverage.

So would an unlocked Sidekick work for verizon?

No. There is no possible way for any Sidekick to work with Verizon. Verizon%26#39;s phones and network are CDMA, which doesn%26#39;t use sim cards. The Sidekicks are GSM phones, which require a sim card in order to work. They are two completely different technologies and are not compatible with each other. Even IF you manage to find one that actually is unlocked(Sidekicks are very hard to unlock, even T-Mobile can%26#39;t get an unlock code), it still would not work with a CDMA carrier. The closest thing to a Sidekick that will work with Verizon is the LG enV. If the phone is unlocked for Verizon.

Verizon and sprint use CDMA.

think of it like this. its like tryin to put a square in a circle slot. just wont work. Sorry its a different technology. T Mobile SunCom and A T%26T are GSM carriers. The Sidekick and the Hiptop are GSM phones and cannot be converted.
