In general, the points let you ask and answer more questions. The more points you have, the more questions you can ask %26 answer. Also, you can star more, comment more, and vote more. Also, sometimes they%26#39;ll have things you can sign up for to get things for free. Like, a little while back they had a whole "help the environment" thing going on, and if you were Level 2 or higher, you could sign up and they sent you a free shopping bag and light bulb (and then the more points you got, the more light bulbs you got). And quite awhile back, they gave out prizes Y!Answers anniversary, and the prizes varied according to your level. I was Level 2 at the time, I think (maybe 3), so I got a car magnet, but higher levels got T-shirts, hats, mugs, etc. So points are also useful in that way. man is just 4 fun. u shouldn%26#39;t care! its our business! yeah it%26#39;s for fun I got a few free gifts I got a light bulb lol thought that was funny and also i got me a nice canvas tote bag and a nice thank you letter saying thank you for answering questions on CEQnA.com and I enjoy answering
