As long as the i850 is either unlocked or Nextel branded, then it will work.
To Krista, only the Sprint side of the company is CDMA. The Nextel side of the company is iDEN. GSM is not the only type of network that uses SIM cards. Both GSM and iDEN use SIM cards. They are not interchangeable with each other, though. iDEN has used SIM cards since at least 2002. Yes, as long as your i850 is also a Nextel.
And YES, Nextel%26#39;s DO have SIM cards!! I have a Nextel Motorola i850, and am staring at the sim card right now!!
It%26#39;s Verizon that doesn%26#39;t use SIM cards! yes it will as long as the i850 is from thesame serviceprovider or unlocked Nextal-Sprint uses CDMA technology. Which means that they do not use SIM cards, those are used only by GSM networks. CDMA programs the information into the phone.
If your trying to change your addresses and numbers into this phone, use a phone tools program.(Ask Nextal-Sprint for one for your phone model) If your trying to keep the same phone when switching to another company, sorry, it can%26#39;t be done. yes any nextel will be compatible with another one
